Blob Scene — Sixteen Minimal Wallpapers, Free to Download

Sixteen this time. The blob scene collection is the largest set so far, and probably the most varied — each one feels like a different time of day, a different mood, a different version of the same idea.

The Idea Behind This Set

Blobs are having a moment in design right now and I am not entirely sure why, but I think it is something to do with how they feel organic in a way that polygons and waves do not. They have no hard edges, no obvious geometry. They look like something you might find in nature — like paint dropped in water, or the way clouds form at the edges.

The blob scene format puts two or three large shapes together against a background, overlapping slightly, each a different shade or hue. Simple enough that it works behind app icons without competing, interesting enough that you do not mind seeing it every day.

I made sixteen variations. Some are monochromatic, some mix two or three colours, some are dark and some are light. There is probably one in here for everyone.
